Well, teach me to want to get involved in a software conversion. Here I sit, in my fancy hotel (HA!) in the metropolis of tulsa, Ok. Not a hell of a lot is getting done on the conversion and I'm a little frustrated to be honest. I'm really disappointed I didn't take the other job last summer when I had the chance. I keep promising myself I won't whine too much about it, but it's really frustrating. In 20/20 hindsight, I should have bolted in a fucking second and let the housing chips fall where they may. Instead, I'm in Tulsa.....
I guess it could be a hell of a lot worse, and I apologize to anyone who may run across these rantings of a feeble mind and not feel sympathetic. I realize that I'm still gainfully employed, and I intend to do my job to my utmost. Of course, I'm also going to use this opportunity to upgrade my skills to the extent possible, get licensed as a CPA and do whatever else I can to increase my value for my next employer.
Onto more fun things.
Looking forward to a day off this Friday and Monday. going up to watch the GCs perform in some pageant type thing their grandmother has them in. I'm not a fan of pageants, but this is a one time thing and they are so excited they're about to churn themselves into butter.
I'm hoping to take the opportunity Wed night to work on the Jeep for a couple of hours. Not sure how much will get done, but I'm looking forward to using the new tool toy I bought. That's right, I bought a heat gun. No more using the BBQ lighter to prep the shrink wrap one my wiring.
