Now for the fun stuff. Can you say "Geaux Tigers"? Beat Ms State, although it was much more difficult than I anticipated. Couple of my observations from the game.....
- We have got to figure out how to cover backs out of the backfield, either with the linebackers or with safeties.
- Our defensive line, for all the pre-season talk, isn't getting much pressure on opposing QBs.
- Jarrett Lee made some throws during the game that scared me to death. Overall though, he played pretty well.
Finally got a little work on the Jeep done. Took off the flat tire and bought a can of fix a flat for repair purposes. I think I'm going to have to eventually get new tires, as these are pretty dry-rotted, but if they will just hold together until I get this thing running, that would be nice. Also took all the old oil to be recycled. Now need to replace the oil that was drained, and finish the back axle, then take that to be recycled and clean up the pan. Ordered up a new body mount set, which should allow me to get the red neck engineered body lift off and replaced with one that has actual engineering to it. Once that is done, I think I can fix the clutch linkage and get back to the electrical work. My in-laws are coming next week, so that may free up some time for me to work on it.
Same ole, same ole at work. working on budgets for FY 2009, Closing the FY 2008 for the short year after the acquisition, and the other normal stuff. Fun!
